斗六繪本圖書館

首先，很感謝館長讓我們雲林科技大學應外系的學生有這個機會能夠在斗六市繪本館實習服務

並且為我們設了一個屬於我們的活動-「大哥哥大姐姐說英文故事」

也讓我們管理部落格的文章、圖片等，並且使用中英文來滿足來自各個世界的讀者

At first, we would like to thank library's leader to give us this opportunity to manage the articles and pictures on the Internet

and use Chinese and English version to satisfy the readers from all over the world.

Also, thanks for creating an activity " 大哥哥大姐姐說英文故事" for us to learn something from it.

關於「大哥哥大姐姐說英文故事」這個活動

剛開始我們原本不太熟悉該如何和小朋友拉近距離

再加上繪本是全英文的

對於各個來聽故事年齡層不同的小朋友來說

若是我們都是講英文的，小朋友一定聽不懂；但若是我們只講中文，這樣小朋友也沒有學習到英文

所以我們就想到，可以先講英文的句子，再翻譯成中文 (英文句子不會講得太長才翻譯

這樣也就達成了我們最初的目的囉！

英文繪本相對地也有許多的好處

例如：圖書館裡的英文繪本圖書量較少，小朋友讀過的英文繪本也很有限

再加上小朋友通常都只是借中文繪本，因此，有許多英文故事對小朋友來說是很新鮮且有趣的

再來就是，當我們在翻譯英文繪本的同時，還可以順便講解一下某些生字

讓小朋友在聽故事的時候，無形中還可以讓他們學習到英文，這也是英文繪本的優點之一。

As for "大哥哥大姐姐說英文故事", we didn't know how to be familiar with children at first.

In addition, the story was all in English, it must be very hard for children to read just in English.

Children must not understand if we just speak in English, therefore, we came up with an idea.

We could first speak English sentences, then, translate to Chinese.　(English sentences will not be too long

On the other hand, there are some advantages of English picture books, such as children normally don't borrow or read English picture book,

so it would be new and interesting to them. 

Also, when we read English picture book to them, we would interpret the vocabulary.

Thus, they will learn some vocabulary while they are listening to the story.

在平日有活動、座談的時候，館長也會讓我們有機會參與

像是之前舉辦的「優質父母成長學習營」

雖然我們尚未為人父母，但是，在聽演講的同時，我們不僅可以知道為人父母的內心在想甚麼

更可以反省自己當初在當小孩的時候，是怎麼曲解爸媽的意思

一心只覺得爸媽管東管西很煩，卻忽略到爸媽心中的想法

這也讓我們可以預先為以後要為人父母時，該怎麼去傾聽孩子們的聲音

是一個非常值得參與的活動！

還有８月中舉辦的「飛行科學營隊」

也特地請到了在台中的老師來到繪本館教小朋友摺紙飛機

老師人也非常好，讓我們可以跟著一起學習，之後也給我們機會去教小朋友

讓我們在這次的活動中有滿滿的收穫

還拍下許多珍貴的照片及回憶

也是一個非常棒的活動！

The library's leader will invite us to participate in some activities or lectures, 

for example "Yunlin Family Education Center 2012 Great Parents Lecture Course" and "飛行科學營隊".

"Yunlin Family Education Center 2012 Great Parents Lecture Course" makes us to think about how to listen to our children.

Even though we are not parents now, we still can learn something from the lecture and prepare for the future use.

I think this is really important lecture for both of parents and children. It's really worth it.

As to "飛行科學營隊", a teacher from Taichung to teach children how to fold a papre airplane.

The teacher is really nice and gave us a chance to learn together, then, to teach children.

From this activity, we had many precious photos and memories.

This is really a valuable activity as well.

我們在繪本館實習的期間，承蒙館長及館員許多的照顧

從借、還書到將書本上架，都是由她們細心地一點一滴教導著我們

也學會了不少待人處世應有的態度及禮貌

所以來繪本館實習真的學習到了很多東西

我們也非常珍惜這樣難能可貴的經驗

謝謝這段期間大家的照顧，辛苦了

We are much obliged for the instruction from library's leader and the staff.

They instruct us everything carefully.

Besides, we obtained many precious experiences during these two months.

In any case, thanks for everything you have taught us.

在這裡要先感謝斗六市立繪本圖書館提供這麼好的一個機會讓我們在暑假期間去實習，

也為了我們這些實習生特別設立了一個周期性活動讓我們的長才得以發揮。

At first, we would like to thank library’s leader to give us this opportunity to serve in the library, and held an activity for us to try our best.

在繪本館除了一般日常的借還書上架以外，

為了我們這些實習生特別設立的每周六講故事活動，從一開始的陌生到後來有了忠實的聽眾，

也了解了學齡孩童較適合的教學方式，我們使用英語繪本講故事，

在一開始我們使用全部用英文講一遍，之後再講中文故事，

但是發現在一開始的英文故事方面小朋友們比較難以專心，

所以之後就改成中文故事夾帶英文單字，

並且在講完故事後用英文單字進行有獎問答活動，

進以增添小孩子記憶單字的動機，

也能藉以維持孩子們在聽故事過程中的專注程度。

Except for the usual stuff of the library, the story telling activity on the Saturday which is create for us also give us precious experiences. And we really learned a lot from this activity, for example: how to make your little audiences concentrate on your story, how to improve the children’s learning motivation. Although we used English picture books, but we use Chinese for the first time telling, and then we use English in the second time. We found that using the language that the children are familiar with can improve their concentration and our games after the story telling with a little bit rewards can also increase their motivation to memorize the words in the story.

在紙飛機科學營當中也讓我們體驗了圖書館活動的多元性，

用小朋友們所喜愛的紙飛機為主題，除了對小孩子更有吸引力外，

也可以藉由此活動讓參加的小朋友們了解一些飛機飛行的知識，並訓練小朋友手工的靈巧度，

相信這樣的活動不僅是小孩，就連大人們也能玩的不亦樂乎，對協助活動的我們也是一個相當難得的經驗。

In the paper plane camp we also experience the multi-side activities of a single library. Using children’s favorite as topic can increase the attraction to children. Through this interesting activity, children not only can learn some knowledge of the plane but train their dexterity. I believe, not only children but also adults enjoy this kind of activity. For us, it is a precious experience to assist this activity. 

而優質父母成長營雖然是特別設計給為人父母的民眾參加，

但是在一邊旁聽的我們也在聽講者解說的過程中有很多感觸，

而講者所放映的影片也深深的震撼的我們，相當富有教育意義。

Although we are not parents now, but we still learn a lot from the course, and the film that the speaker share with us also shock our mind. In short, it is a meaningful course.

最後還是要再感謝斗六市立繪本館的館員及館長對我們這些實習生從借還書到上架等相關工作方面耐心的指導，

也讓我們學到很多職場上、社會上為人處世的道理，我們一定會珍惜這個難得的經驗，感謝你們!
